Position Overview: As a Customer Assistant in the Clothing and Home department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience. You will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in the Clothing and Home department.
- Provide knowledgeable advice and recommendations on clothing and home products.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and manage returns and exchanges.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure products are properly labeled and priced.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including aisles, shelves, and fitting rooms.
- Ensure high standards of product presentation and merchandising.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Uphold M&S standards for quality, customer service, and store appearance.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move products as needed and stand for extended periods.
