Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our night shift team at IKEA Manchester. This role involves handling the nightly operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and organizing products. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically fit, and able to work independently during night hours.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, check, and store incoming products during night hours.
• Accurately pick and pack orders for delivery to customers.
• Ensure products are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth handover between shifts.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and IKEA policies.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night hours.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software is a plus.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
• Valid forklift operator certification is a plus but not mandatory.
