We are currently seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Digital Communications Officer.Job Description: As a Digital Communications Officer, you will play a key role in enhancing the online presence of the Church of England, Liverpool Diocese, and promoting our mission and ministry to a wide audience. Working closely with the Communications Team, you will be responsible for creating engaging content for our website, social media platforms, and other digital channels.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a digital communications strategy to support the objectives of the Church of England, Liverpool Diocese.
- Create and curate compelling content for the diocesan website, social media channels, and email newsletters, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
- Manage the diocesan social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring analytics to track engagement and reach.
- Produce multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, and graphics, to share stories of faith, community, and ministry within the diocese.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the diocese to gather news and information, and promote events, initiatives, and campaigns through digital channels.
- Monitor trends in digital communication and recommend strategies for improving online engagement and effectiveness.
- Provide training and support to clergy, staff, and volunteers on digital communication tools and best practices.
Requirements:
- A passion for digital communication and a commitment to the mission and values of the Church of England.
- Proven experience in digital communications, social media management, or content creation, ideally within a faith-based or non-profit organization.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages for diverse audiences.
- Strong visual communication skills, including graphic design and basic video editing capabilities.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing software.
- Knowledge of digital analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to inform decision-making.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- A creative thinker with a collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
