Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Kit Manager. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that our players and staff are provided with high-quality kit and equipment to support their performance on and off the pitch. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of kit and equipment provision for the first team, academy, and staff, ensuring that all kit is prepared, cleaned, and maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and inventory management of all playing and training kit, equipment, and apparel.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of kit and equipment orders, negotiating competitive prices and managing supplier relationships.
- Assist with the design and development of new kit and apparel, working closely with the club’s commercial and marketing teams to ensure branding and sponsorship requirements are met.
- Oversee the organization and distribution of matchday kit and equipment, ensuring that all players and staff have the necessary items for training and matches.
- Maintain accurate records of kit and equipment usage, tracking stock levels, and managing budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Manage the kit room facilities, ensuring that all equipment is stored safely and securely and that the kit room is kept clean and organized at all times.
- Provide support to coaching and medical staff during training sessions and matches, assisting with the setup and maintenance of equipment as required.
- Work closely with the club’s medical team to ensure that all player-specific requirements are met, including the provision of customized equipment and apparel for injured or recovering players.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Kit Manager or in a similar role within professional football or sports industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring the club’s branding and sponsorship obligations are met.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with players, staff, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices relating to the storage and handling of sports equipment and apparel.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays, as required by the demands of the role.
- Valid driving license and access to own transport.
