Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Athletic Assistant Trainer to join our elite sports medicine team. In this role, you will work closely with our Head Athletic Trainer and other medical staff to provide comprehensive care to our athletes. You will assist in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, ensuring that our players are able to perform at their peak levels of fitness and health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and execution of injury prevention programs, including strength and conditioning routines, flexibility exercises, and proper warm-up techniques.
• Provide immediate and on-site care for athletic injuries during practices, games, and other team activities.
• Administer first aid and emergency medical care as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with team physicians, physical therapists, and other medical professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for injured players.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including injury reports, treatment logs, and rehabilitation progress notes.
• Educate players on injury prevention strategies, proper nutrition, hydration, and overall wellness practices.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in sports medicine and athletic training techniques, attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education programs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, sports medicine, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential from the Board of Certification (BOC).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an athletic trainer in a professional sports setting, preferably basketball.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with players, coaches, and medical staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, in accordance with the team’s practice and game schedule.
